The Power of Community is Positive Change
Little Green Fingers developed a Youth Development & Sustainability Programme for children living in disadvantage communities. This programme is currently running at Marine Primary in Ocean View. The objectives are to teach children about food security, through natural food farming, natural and good nutritional food preparation, renewable cooking methods, natural building techniques, environmental issues, and product development.
The Ackerman Pick 'n Pay Foundation funded towards our start up cost which is giving us the tools the make this project happen.
On behalf of Little Green Fingers, Marine Primary and the surrounding community of Ocean View; we would like to thank The Ackerman Pick 'n Pay Foundation for giving us the funds to invest in these children and equip them with skills.
We are very proud to have been selected by such a reputable organisation and this is a step into restoring dignity into this community.
We would also like to thank the Spur Steak Ranch who has believed in Little Green Fingers since the foundation of this group in 2009 and sponsored us a fridge and some cooking utensils towards this programme.
We are continuing looking for funders to come on board to either sponsor a workshop, a month or a year.
